Alfred J. Rieber (CEU)

"Stalin: Man of the Borderlands"

ALFRED J. RIEBER came to CEU as chair of the Department of History in 1995. 
Prior to that, he taught at the University of Pennsylvania for thirty-five 
years, ten of which he spent as chair of the history department. He has 
written widely on imperial and Soviet Russian topics ranging from social 
history of the merchantry to problems of Soviet foreign policy.

PETER BAJOMI-LAZAR is a leading member of a new generation of Hungarian 
media experts combining academics and advocacy. He is the author of 
a  forthcoming book on media freedom in Hungary as well as the book 
"Changing Concepts of Public Service in Western European Radio."

Post-Soviet Change."
