Introduction
EXTRA SHORT FILM festival (ESF) in Novosibirsk carried out for the second 
time as a noncommercial action organized on the private initiative in 
Novosibirsk on June 1, 2001.
Basic information
To be accepted for participation in the festival, a film (feature, 
documentary, animation, experimental, etc.) should meet the conditions of 
the festival and be accompanied by the filled out registration form. The 
organizers reserve the right of preliminary selection of films for 
participation in competition program of the festival.The authors of films 
chosen to participation in a festival, will be informed on it not later by 
May 15
Nominations
The films participate in general competition in two nominations - video and 
animation.
Conditions
The main condition of participation in ESF is the length of film - 60 
seconds or less. The films also should contain attributes of the so-called 
"feature-length pictures" - title, plot, ending.The films that have earlier 
participated in competitive or in the unscheduled programs of ESF are not 
accepted.To participation in a festival is accepted no more than two films 
from the author, under condition of the application in different 
nominations.Accepted for participation in the festival are the videos in a 
format VHS/PAL, S-VHS/PAL, DV, miniDV or CD carriers compressed in avi. 
file. Films containing text or dialogue should contain simultaneous 
translation or sub-titles in English.
Deadline
The deadline for submitting films for participation in the festival - April 
8, 2001.Prizes
First prize in every nomination - $400.
