UNIDEE-University of Ideas'</b></u> format proposes an<b> educational
model</b> based on 'other' ways of gaining experience in the<b>
meeting of critical theory, activism and artistic practice</b>, not
through subordinate relationships but rather through<b> levels of
interaction, exchanges and reciprocal interference</b>.<br>

<b>Residency period:</b> variable, April 24th - July 21th, 2017<br>
<b>Deadline for submissions:</b> Sunday, 19th March, 2017, 5 pm
CET.<br>
<br>
This is an<b> open call for applications</b> to partake in joint grant
supported by<b> illycaffè S.p.A.</b> for five weekly residential
modules developed by<b> UNIDEE-University of Ideas</b> and<b>
Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto</b>, Biella (Italy). The five
selected participants will take part to a graphic competition for one
Production Prize worth ¤ 3000,00 for fund research and production of
the project initially submitted in the application form.<br>

CALL FOR THE SELECTION OF 8 FULL GRANTS PARTICIPANTS</b> for <a

>Expanded Body. An immersive exploration of the Oasi Zegna</b></i></a>
a residential module with the mentorship of<b> Andrea Caretto |
Raffaella Spagna in collaboration with Fondazione Zegna</b>.<br>
<br>
<b>Residency period:</b> 26th June - 3rd July 2017<br>
<b>Deadline for submissions:</b> 2nd April 2017, 11pm CET.<br>
<br>
The module offers an immersing experience across the territory of the
Oasi Zegna, a mountain protected area extending for about 100 sq km in
Piedmont, in the Biellese Alps, between Trivero and the Cervo Valley.
The participants will be involved in the aesthetic experimentation of
a radically ecological way of thinking, based on a non-hierarchical
ontology in which all the subjects (living and non-living, plants,
animals, rocks, artefacts, etc.) existing in that place are put on the
same level.<br>
<br>
<u><b>The 8 residency FULL GRANTS</b></u> will include:<br>
- Participation to the residential module<i><b> Expanded Body. An
immersive exploration of the Oasi Zegna</b></i> mentored by<b> Andrea
Caretto | Raffaella Spagna</b>;<br>
- Full board;<br>
- Accommodation (single room, shared bathroom facilities - for 9
nights);<br>
- Medical Insurance (accidents only);<br>
- Use of a shared studio space and workshop facilities.<br>
All costs for travels and Visa are intended at the sole expenses of
the selected participants.<br>

>CALL For two long RESEARCH-BASED residencies</b></a><br>
<b>Residency period:</b> two months long, during Spring or Fall
2017<br>
<b>Applications are accepted all the time during the current
year.</b><br>
<br>
The selected Residents through the Research-based Residency Call can
take part at UNIDEE-University of Ideas during<b> Spring Term</b>
(May-July 2017) or<b> Fall Term</b> (September-November), profiting of
the unique opportunity to visit La Biennale di Venezia 2017, or to
encounter the art scene in Piedmont region during Artissima art fair.
During the residency there will be<b> tailored national and
international experts' visits, networking sessions, institutional
visits and travel within Northern Italy</b> (especially Turin, Milan
and Venice). The selected Residents will meet and share his/her work
with the seasonal international professionals and the weekly
residential modules participants and mentors.<br>
The Research-based Residency is unfunded. The programme fee for 2017
is set at ¤ 6.000 for two months and includes accommodation,
residency coordination, attendance to two weekly residential modules,
small budget for project production.<br>
<b>UNIDEE - University of Ideas</b> will be at hand to assist
applicants with funding applications.<br>
